The Greater Noida Authority and farmers of Patwari village in Noida Extension on Saturday reached an agreement to resolve the crisis that arose out of the Supreme Court's order on land acquisition.

According to Greater Noida Authority the agreement the farmers of Patwari will be paid an enhanced compensation. The compensation figure has been raised by Rs 550 per square metre to Rs 1400 per square metre, from the earlier figure of Rs 850.

The developed area has also now been raised from 6 per cent to 8 per cent.

Builders have also been allowed to construct more flats in giving land, which mean the investors would not be affected.

Rejoiced groups of builders of the ongoing projects have welcomed the breakthrough.

Amrapali Group CMD Anil Sharma said "It's a good news that a consensus between the authority and the farmers has been arrived. Some good policies have been announced that would definitely help the flat buyers".

Assuring that the home buyers would not bear the additional compensation to be given to the farmers, Sharma said, "The developers have already announced that they are not going to impose anything on buyers".
